Microneedling
Treatment Overview
At Beauty Logic MedSpa, we offer Microneedling — a safe and effective way to rejuvenate your skin naturally. This minimally invasive treatment uses fine, automated micro-needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These tiny channels trigger your body’s natural healing response, stimulating collagen and elastin production while enhancing the absorption of active skincare products.
Microneedling is one of the most versatile treatments we offer—it not only helps soften fine lines and wrinkles but also smooths scars, reduces stretch marks, and restores a healthy, glowing complexion.

Benefits of Microneedling
Microneedling can:
- Reduce acne scars and traumatic scars
- Smooth fine lines and wrinkles
- Improve skin tone, texture, and elasticity
- Minimize stretch marks
- Shrink the appearance of enlarged pores
- Revive dull, tired-looking skin
- Enhance absorption of serums and skincare products
Is Microneedling Right for You?
Microneedling may be an excellent option if you want to:
- Diminish acne scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, or uneven texture
- Improve overall skin tone, elasticity, and hydration
- Boost the results of your at-home skincare routine
- Choose a non-surgical treatment that stimulates natural collagen and elastin production
Microneedling is safe for most skin types. However, it may not be recommended if you’re pregnant, nursing, currently using Accutane, or have certain skin conditions. During your consultation, our providers will determine if microneedling is the right choice for you.
A series of 3 to 4 treatments is typically recommended for best results. During your appointment, your provider may enhance your treatment with advanced bioactive serums, growth factor support, or PRP when appropriate, at no additional cost.
What to Expect
- Before
- During
- After
To ensure the best results, we recommend:
- Stopping retinol, tretinoin, AHAs, hydroquinone, and benzoyl peroxide for 3–5 days
- Avoiding chemical peels, injectables, or laser treatments for at least 2 weeks
- Avoiding tanning, self-tanner, and prolonged sun exposure for 2 weeks
- Arriving with clean skin—no makeup, lotion, or sunscreen
- Rescheduling if you have active acne, cold sores, or open lesions
- Taking prescribed antiviral medication if you have a history of cold sores
Microneedling sessions typically take 30–60 minutes depending on the treatment area. A topical numbing cream may be applied for comfort. Most patients describe the sensation as light pressure or a sandpaper-like feeling as the device glides across the skin. Thanks to the speed of the DP4 device, discomfort is minimal, and a hydrating gel applied during treatment helps soothe the skin.
Immediately after treatment, your skin will appear pink to red and may feel tight or warm—similar to a sunburn. Some mild swelling or flaking is normal and typically resolves within 1–3 days. For optimal healing:
- Allow the skin to naturally flake and peel—avoid picking or exfoliating
- Moisturize as directed by your provider
- Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks, and use SPF 30+ daily
- Follow your personalized post-treatment skincare regimen
Most patients notice an immediate glow after treatment. The most dramatic improvements appear over the next 4–6 weeks, as collagen production continues to remodel the skin.

FAQs
What is automated microneedling?
Automated microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), is a skin treatment that uses tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries. This process stimulates the body’s healing response, encouraging new collagen and elastin production. The DP4 device also creates micro-channels that allow serums and active ingredients to penetrate more deeply for enhanced results.
What are the benefits?
Microneedling helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks, pigmentation issues, and uneven texture. It also boosts overall skin radiance and firmness.
How is the procedure done?
The DP4 device glides over the skin, creating micro-channels while stimulating the body’s natural healing process. This happens in three phases:
- Inflammation: Your skin’s immune system disinfects, increases circulation, and begins repair.
- Proliferation: New cells and blood vessels form to rebuild tissue.
- Remodeling: Fresh dermal tissue and collagen replace damaged areas.
What is the downtime?
Downtime is minimal. Most patients experience redness for 1–3 days, though some heal in as little as 24 hours. Mild flaking may occur for up to a week.
When will I see results?
Many patients notice a glow within a few days. Visible changes develop over the following weeks, with collagen production continuing for up to 6 months.
How many treatments will I need?
Treatment plans vary. Some patients achieve great results with a single session once a year, while others benefit from a series of 2–3 treatments spaced 6–8 weeks apart. For more advanced concerns—like deep wrinkles, acne scars, or stretch marks — 6–8 sessions may be recommended.
At Beauty Logic MedSpa, we love microneedling for its ability to deliver natural results with little downtime. If you’re ready to refresh your skin and boost collagen production, our team will design a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
